Florence’s newborn photography session. A new baby girl in the family

 

I first met this lovely family when I had the pleasure of doing Florence’s mums maternity photographs. I was delighted to be asked to return and capture amazing memories of their newborn, and to meet their precious new baby girl when she arrived.

Florence was 11 days old  when I did her newborn photo session, carried out at her home in East Grinstead, West Sussex. I fell in love with Florence the minuet I saw her. With her perfect beautiful creamy baby skin, bright blond hair and plenty of newborn squishiness, she was a simply beautiful new baby girl and a newborn photographers dream model.

This image is always a favourite with my clients. Hanging safely in daddy’s arms. No elaborate props. The focus is all on baby and it puts a perspective on baby’s size – something you’ll want to look back at many years from now – of course she’s not actually being suspended in dad’s arms – this shot is a trick shot so that her safety is always ensured.

 

 

Those close up details, eyes, hands, feet and rosebud lips – so beautiful, they’re a must to be photographed and documented.

 

 

I love it when I capture a newborn smile. It’s wind they say, who cares – it’s just so cute and I’ve gotten quite good at spotting the signs that one is about to happen so that I can be ready, camera poised to capture it.

 

 

My sessions are styled and tailored to meet my client’s taste. Mum chose pink and grey as her colour theme so these colours feature throughout the session – this is really beneficial if mum want to put serval images together in a multi aperture frame.
