The Heart Behind Cosy Toes Photography

I’m Lisa Louis, founder of Cosy Toes Photography. Mum of two boys and lover of all things baby. I’m extremely proud to be West Sussex’s specialist newborn photographer, having devoted the last 4 years perfecting the genre. Based in Forest Row, I offer bespoke photography sessions for maternity, newborn, babies and children throughout East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

Creating more than just photographs, I am committed to capturing the fleeting magic of early life with heart, softness, and unparalleled care. With each session, she blends artistic vision with gentle guidance to tell your family’s unique story—whether in a styled studio portrait, a breath-taking outdoor scene, or a heartfelt in-home moment

Where My Passion Began

I fell in love with newborn photography after having my own son photographed in this style. I literally can’t get enough of those tiny details that only a newborn has. The pouty lips, the squishy cheeks, even the little flaky bits on the hand and feet. Every inch of that baby is simply perfect and I adore capturing and preserving those details and moments that are only there for such a short amount of time.

As I watched my babies grow I came to realise how important it was to have those memories of them recorded in photographs. Even with my youngest son, already I find I can no longer remember how small he once was, how he sucked his little lip into his tiny toothless mouth – not until I look back through his newborn images that were captured so perfectly by the photographer. But I don’t have the luxury of remembering those details with my eldest. I can not tell you how much I regret not having those same beautiful images of him – for he was born before newborn photography was really a thing, sadly I had not known about this style of photography at the time.

And so I decided that I would make sure that other mums never forget those precious details. To make it my mission to document these moments for my clients. And so I founded Cosy Toes Photography (my 3rd baby), and I now dedicate myself to preserving their moments with stunning images that they can hang on their wall for a lifetime.
