Coronavirus Safety Measures
Photography sessions reopening after Coronavirus
Coronavirus has changed all of our lives. Like many other business, Cosy Toes Photography sadly had to close to close its doors in March and I’ve been so sad ever since not to have been able to capture the memories of some of the most important times of peoples lives. But with a glimpse of the possibility of coming out of lockdown as June approaches, and with the latest updates from the government, I am excited to finally be able to re-open for business and for photography sessions reopening after Coronavirus. Re-opening will continue to be subject to any changes in the government updates and advice.
Of course photographing newborns and young children is in it’s very nature a close contact profession, and therefore sadly this means that there will have to be changes to the way in which I work which I wanted to outline for my clients so that when you book a photography session you and our family (and mine) will be kept safe.
I have been carrying out risk assessments and completed a course to ensure I have full understanding on how to prevent the spread of COVID19 and to keep my clients safe.

I will therefore be re-opening in three phases. All of which will be subject to change as we watch what happens with the R number and listening to the advice of the government which I will be strictly adhering to.
Phase 1
1st June – Reopening for outdoor sessions only

- Only immediate family members of the same household will be allowed
- Both clients and myself are required to postpone any booking if they, or any member of each household feels unwell (regardless of if the illness relates to Coronovirus or not)
- Clients and I will be required to take our temperature on the day of the session, prior to arrival. Sessions will be postponed in the case of any fevers.
- Fewer props will be used and those that are will be disinfected or washed before and after use.
- Only 1 session will be booked per day to reduce the amount of contact
- Sessions will be kept to a maximum of one hour and under
- I will be keeping a minimum of 2 metres apart from you at all times
- All posing will be carried out by parents at my instruction
Phase 2
15th June – Reopening for studio sessions

As of 15th June studio sessions will be available for babies who are able to sit unaided and upwards, including maternity photography sessions and cake smashes. Unfortunately I will be unable to commence posed newborn sessions at this time as this requires a lot of close contact.
- Only immediate family members of the same household will be allowed – preferably kept to 1 parent only
- Any sibling & family photographs will be taken first and older children will be required to leave with one of the parents following their portion of the session

- Studio and props with be thornily sanitised before and after each session
- Sessions will be kept to a maximum of one hour and under
- As face coverings are not of any benefit from where social distancing can be met, I will not be wearing face masks during sessions. It will be very hard to gain the trust and smiles from you little ones from behind a mask and I do not want to jeopardise your sessions. If however, you would would feel more comfortable with me wearing PPE I have these prepared and will gladly do so.
- Face masks will be available for those who are not being photographed if they wish to use them
- Please leave all car seats and extra belongings in your car
- You will be required to remove your shoes upon arrival
- You will be required to wash your hands on arrival
- We will maintain a 2 metre distance from each other at all times

- No outside props allowed
Phase 3
Posed Newborn Studio sessions – 4th July
I will be following the same guidance on when I can commence newborn sessions based on the same time scales that of industries such as beauticians and other close contact professions are able to open. At the moment this is looking like July, but it will be subject the the reviews of the R number.
With lots of sessions to reschedule from clients have already missed their sessions, I will be re-arranging those first and only then will open up for new clients. It’s going to be a very busy time! But I can’t wait to get back to creating memories! If you’d like to be the first to hear about my availability, please use the sign up form below and I’ll be in touch shortly.
I can not wait to see you for your session soon! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
