Isla’s Newborn Photo Shoot

 

Isla was just 9 days old when I met her at her home in Redhill, Surrey for her newborn photo shoot.

It was an honour to have been hired to photograph her, as she is the 3rd newborn in her family that I have worked with. I first met this lovely family when I was booked to do Isla’s cousins newborn photos.

 

Prior to my newborn sessions, parents are invited to pick out their colour choices and props that they’d like me to work with. I hardly ever get asked to use blue with girls so I did a little happy dance when it was one of mums requests. Little girls suit blue so much.

Teaming up with this gorgeous grey and lace romper, I totally love the combination.

Mums’ other choice was purple so the lace was carried through with a beautiful lace backdrop.

 

 

Starting the session with some images of Isla and her parents, this is where she quickly fell asleep, so safe and content in Daddy’s arms.

 

 

 

 

Isla was the best sleeper. She didn’t even wake once throughout her session so she really was the perfect newborn model. She rocked every bit of her session, parent poses, props and bean bag poses.

 

 

 

As we approach November and the festive season, it really would be rude not to capture a little Christmas image to celebrate her first one. Doesn’t she look so adorable holding my super soft reindeer! He is hand felted, especially for these newborn photo sessions.
