Alice and Grace’s Cake Smash

What could possibly be more fun than demolishing a cake to celebrate your first birthday? Doing it with your best friend; your sister!

I had the pleasure of meeting two gorgeous twin girls the other day at their home in Croydon, Surrey for their Cake Smash photography session.

Now if I loved a cake smash with a cheeky almost 1 year old, a twin cake smash had me in my element. They were so much fun!

My new wooden bed arrived just in time for their session – a perfect size for two tiny bottoms to sit upon and capture some beautiful portraits before we let them loose on the cake. Beginning the session with portraits, Alice and I quickly bonded. It was clear she has a super cheeky personality. Grace, slightly more reserved but so inquisitive. A fabulous little duo.

 

A few songs and games were enjoyed by everyone, and then finally it was cake time! They couldn’t wait to get their hands on it!

 

 

Alice has the sweet tooth, that’s for sure because she didn’t hold back or stop eating until the end. Grace, took it all in. Although she dived in too, she let her sister take the lead. It was so lovely watching it all unfold and the two personalities. I love witnessing the interaction between the close bond of twins.

It was a fantastic session and we all had a blast. There was even a bit of cake that was able to be rescued at the end so that the girl’s cousins could tuck in as well – their prize for helping get laughs and smiles from the twins.
