Ariyan’s First birthday photo shoot

 

Ariyan’s first birthday photo shoot was held at his home on the day of his birthday. There was lots going on, as, later that afternoon he was also having his birthday party. He had lots of his family members there, all helping to set up for his big day.

 

Ariyan was so excited. Don’t you just love the look on his little face in the middle shot above – it says it all!

 

 

 

And here – better wouldn’t melt! You little cutie pie!

 

When we first brought the cake out Ariyan really didn’t like the texture. He didn’t want to touch it or to get messy. He got a little upset at first, so to reassure him, his cousin sat with him to show him is was ok.  He showed him how to put his hands into the cake and how to bang it with a spoon – and had a cheeky little taste himself – well you can’t blame him can you!

 

 

Soon Ariyan had gotten the hang of it and had a little taste of the cake, though he still wasn’t keen on getting messy – then it happened. He knocked the cake off the cake stand and on to his legs! I have to say at this point I had held my breath, waiting for some tears as I could tell he wasn’t going to be happy.  And sure enough he did cry, bless his little heart – well it was a bit of a shock. But as fast as the tear had come they stopped, suddenly.
At this point I can only guess what ran through his mind – it was as if he though to himself, “oh well, I’m messy now, I may as well get stuck in”. And with that he turned a corner. Getting his hands right into the cake, even throwing some in the air which has us all in fits of laughter – so of course he was very cuffed with himself, making us laugh and repeated it over and over. This is him – proud as punch, making us laugh.

 

 

 

For a baby whom at one point I had wondered if he would touch the cake at all, he ended up getting the messiest that any of my babies have gotten during their cake smash! Well Done Ariyan, you totally rocked your first birthday photo shoot!

 

 

 

And we also got some lovely images of him in his first birthday party attire. Such a handsome little man.

 

 

 

 

I hope you had a fantastic party Ariyan! The bouncy castle vertically looked fun as your adult Aunties and Uncles were jumping on it. I hope they let you get a turn. Hahaha.
